Oh gosh I really relate to needing to slow down at this time of year! And it’s a lesson I am very good at teaching others but always seem to have to relearn it myself. I love how you talk about pivoting to protect your energy too... so powerful to make those bold steps.

Thank you so much Lauren - it really was a pleasure to read it and to include it here! Everything feels so intense at this time of year doesn't it? There's so much pressure to do things and have things when what we need is often just a bit of space. I have managed to take on a couple of commissions on since I sent this 😂 But today has been a productive day so I'm hoping I'll get the slow down back on track. xx

Congratulations on your second book being ready for pre-order! Very exciting!!! And the embroidery subscription sounds like a wonderful idea!
I have just been making some decisions myself to try and stop feeling like I'm constantly trying to catch up with myself. This year I have at least managed to get to a place where I'm finally doing the stuff I want to be doing and that works for me, rather than what I think I "should" be doing. My next step is challenging myself to focus on just one aspect of that (fabric for quilting & crafting) so that I can stop feeling behind with everything all the time!!!
I'm so glad you've been able to make those decisions that work for you. Those "shoulds" are so hard aren't they? Your fabrics are fantastic and that sounds like a brilliant direction to be heading in. I'm excited to see what 2024 brings for you - hopefully a lots of creativity, freedom and a fewer shoulds!
