The rest is still unwritten
It's the final project for my Embroidery Membership, which is the perfect project to ease your way into the new year!
Hello friends! I hope you’re having a peaceful and restorative festive period, whatever it has looked like for you. I’ve been enjoying having some time off with Tom and our kids, and we’ve also celebrated his 40th birthday this week! So it’s been relaxing and fun, and I’m really grateful for this time together.
This is the final project in my Embroidery Membership in its current form, and I am hugely thankful to everyone who has supported me through this space on Substack. There will continue to be a paid space here, but it will be £5 a month (from 15th January) and will be a way to support my work, connect with other creatives and learn more about hand embroidery. This pattern will be available to new and current subscribers until 14th January, then it will be archived from the 15th. I’ll do a proper post about how everything will work moving forwards in a few days, but if you do have any questions in the meantime then please let me know!
This month’s project is inspired by my daughter, who has been singing Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield in her music lessons. It has been my ear worm since June 😂 and singing it brings her so much joy, it’s so wonderful to see! I wanted to stitch this design for her for Christmas, and it felt like a lovely project to end the year with.
If you don’t want to stitch these lyrics, you could easily replace the text with your own words instead. I left the pages blank to match the words, but another way to customise it would be to add your own here too - it’s up to you.
