This is Take time out to be creative! My newsletter about stitching, creativity and colour.

I must admit that newsletters haven’t quite happened how I’d hoped this year. Things with my business haven’t exactly gone to plan, and with moving out of the studio and closing my physical shop I’ve just had a bit too much going on. Oh, and I’m working on my next book too - the follow-up to Colourful Fun Embroidery! So let’s just say that newsletters haven’t exactly been my priority so far in 2022…

That was until my lovely friend Sarah Raad told me about Substack and I was intrigued. I love the idea of being able to have public newsletters and things to read for free, as well as extra special content for subscribers. This is something I’d love to look into more in 2023 when my book is finished.

Whilst I’m deep in book writing and stitching for the many new projects that will be included, I feel that my passion for writing and creating is returning.

And I can’t tell you how wonderful it feels!

Despite the difficulties and stresses I’ve had recently with the commercial lease on my old shop, I feel like I’m returning back to where I started. Writing and creating. It’s what I love, what I’m passionate about and what I want to share with the world. There’s such power in finding that purpose and I am here for it. I hope you’ll join me on this journey!
