Abstract watercolours on fabric
PLUS the first part of our Watercolour Garden pattern too!
Hello and welcome to another new month in my Embroidery Membership 🥰 This month we’re using watercolours to create a beautiful garden-themed hoop, plus a bonus abstract watercolour hoop too. Yay!
Because there’s so much to experiment with when it comes to watercolours on fabric, I’ve swapped around the Masterclass Month and the Pattern Month for this design. This makes sense because we have to paint the fabric before we can stitch it, so it seemed a bit daft to have the Masterclass after the fabric painting!
So to test out the watercolours and become a bit more confident using them on fabrics, I’ve written this free to read post about how to create a test swatch of your watercolours (including testing out three different watercolour sets. And there’s also a bonus abstract pattern included this month where you can create a colourful, abstract background and stitch some beautiful words on the top.
When you feel a bit more confident after testing out your watercolours, we’ll also be painting the background for the Watercolour Garden hoop. We will then stitch this next month (available 30th June). I hope this all makes sense, but if you have any questions about it then please just let me know!
